FCCF grant funds new diabetic program
Loving Hands Clinic received a grant for $8,000 from the Four County Community Foundation.
The grant will be used to provide medications and supplies for the clinic’s new Diabetic Outreach Program, and to assist in expanding the dental services that are currently available.
“The clinic is extremely appreciative of the community commitment on the part of the Four County Community Foundation to assist the Loving Hands Clinic and the people of Lapeer County by providing funding to assist our residents, who otherwise would not have access to quality primary medical and dental care” said Cathleen Johnson, executive director of the clinic.
Loving Hands Clinic helps provide free access to primary medical and dental care for uninsured or underinsured residents of Lapeer County.
It is open to people between 19 and 64 years of age who have income that is at or below 200 percent of federal poverty guidelines.
