The Loving Hands Clinic wishes to thank and acknowledge Meijer’s, Wal-Mart, Nick and John Gjolaj of the Apple Tree Restaurant, Jeff Ryeson of E.G. Nick’s, Ted’s Sports Bar at the Best Western of Lapeer, Brian’s Restaurant, The Farmhouse, the Lapeer County Democratic Party, Strings “N” Things Hammered Ducimer Group, Nate Kreger, Yolanda Kalanquin and the Hospitality Team from Loving Hands Clinic, Pastor and Mrs. Gary Gillim of Maple Grove Church, members of their congregation who stepped in to help wherever it was needed, the Lapeer Area Chamber of Commerce, and the many many individuals too numerous to mention, for providing food, financial contributions, kitchen support, and entertainment to the clinic’s 1st Annual Harvest of Hope Dinner.

The dinner was a success, 100 percent of the proceeds went to support the clinics mission of providing primary medical and future dental screenings care to the patients of Loving Hands Clinic free of charge. The Clinic is open one-day a week by appointment to medically uninsured and underserved residents of Lapeer County Area who are between the ages of 19-64 years old, and whose income is at 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.

Clinic to offer dental screenings

Free health care clinic serves uninsured adults in county

Uninsured adults will have an option for maintaining dental hygiene at local clinic.

Loving Hands, a local medical clinic providing care for uninsured adults, is expanding. Located in Maple Grove Church in Lapeer Township, Loving Hands is expected to include dental screenings among its offerings later this year.

Lapeer, MI. 10.14.2007 - Dr. Baha Essak volunteers to serve at Loving Hands Clinic Lapper twp—Dr. Baha Essak, MD, of Lapeer, has agreed to join the Loving Hands Clinic, at 148 Maple Grove Road, as a volunteer practitioner at the free clinic in order to provide primary-care services to the medically uninsured and underserved in the greater Lapeer area.

Free clinic now flies on its own

LAPEER, March 14, 2007 — Loving Hands Clinic Inc., a two-year effort to bring free health care to patients with no medical insurance, has recently gone through some organizational changes.

Having flown under the radar for fear of being overwhelmed by demand, they now hope to enhance and broaden services. The clinic, currently housed in a wing of MapleGrove Church, received non-profit status in January and has amicably parted with its original benefactor, Love Inc., a faith-based organization.
